Christmas

Unto You!

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
I love how Luke’s account of Christ birth was so in the now! “Today” he has been born to you!
In a moment the nowness of God brings into focus the “good news”. Historically there was a place and a time where the birth of the Messiah happened and was well recorded. We are told of a manger, swaddling clothes, and wise men who sought him out. A miracle moment for sure; the beginning of hope!
The Christmas account may of ended in print in Luke’s Gospel…… but whether July or December there is a now moment where Christ desires to find a “now unto you” birth place, not in a lowly manger but in receptive heart. The evidence of the good news is not just tied to history but is found now in lives hoping no longer to fear but to receive the GREAT JOY!
May the now moment of an endless Christ capture your fears and bring you great JOY during this season!

A Little Early???

Slo, aka Shari Lynn wants the tree (Christmas) up! I first thought UUHH? But it is 30 degrees here and local malls look like Christmas is around the corner. So, I am putting the tree up on Nov 18.

When I think of Christmas in this new world of ours it seems all a bit strange. We will miss being around all of our Georgia buds this Christmas!! I will miss the gatherings with friends around this Holiday season for sure. We do plan to host a Christmas event with some peps we have met here and hope to inspire future relationships here in Mary Esther Fl.

I do believe this season will present some very new circumstances and will force us to make every effort to use the Spirit of Christ to be seeking newness, much like the wise men who were seeking something very new over two thousands years ago.

What are you seeking this season?

Peace and Love
